Located in Trélou-Sur-Marne in the Marne Valley since 1922, the Champagne Veuve Olivier et Fils estate holds the status of "Recoltant-Manipulant". The wines are produced in the cellars of the company using grapes harvested on the same estate.
The vineyards extend over 18 hectares and consist of 21 plots located around Trélou-Sur-Marne in the Marne Valley. The company cultivates a majority of Pinot Meunier, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Sandrine Charpentier-Olivier now manages the Maison, under the watchful eyes of her parents, Michelle and Pierre, who have passed on to her their vast experience as Champagne winemakers.
Champagne Veuve Olivier & Fils Perle de Saignee Brut is produced from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from 40-year-old vines.
Its intense and brilliant color is the result of a short maceration of the grape skin with the must. On the nose, it reveals a generous bouquet of fresh red fruits (strawberries, blackberries, cherries, raspberries) followed by light citrus notes. On the palate, it is a powerful and full champagne with delicate salty notes and good acidity. It is the perfect wine for duck meat, mixed starters, rustic pies with tomatoes, and Parma ham. Serve it chilled at 8 – 10°C.
