Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
Damaged or Defective Wines
Any damaged or defective wines received by the purchaser are fully returnable within 14 days from the day you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods. We offer the option of a refund or exchange (if available) for the wine, provided the faulty product is returned to us in the same condition as it was originally received, without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the date you notify us of your decision to withdraw from this contract. The returned product must be sent in the original box in which the order was received.
Refunds
Refunds for cancelled orders will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned faulty product. Refunds or exchanges are subject to an audit of the returned product.
Damages During Transit
If wines are damaged during transit, please contact us within 10 days of delivery with a description of the damage and supporting pictures (including the original box with the transport label and the damaged bottle).
Delayed or Missing Parcels
If an order, or part of an order, is delayed beyond the timeframe of 14 days, or the carrier indicates that the parcel shows no movement, we will initiate an investigation with the carrier upon the purchaser’s request. To start the investigation, the purchaser must provide a signed Declaration of Undelivered Parcel, which we will supply upon receiving a report of the missing parcel. The investigation process may take up to 30 days.
If the parcel cannot be located or delivered, we will resolve the issue within the standard 30-day period by offering a reshipment or refund for the order, if feasible.
Statutory Rights
The returns and cancellations policies listed above do not affect your statutory rights.
Cancellation
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the good.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must contact 8Wines Helpdesk of your decision to cancel. Please clearly state in the cancelation communication your name, order number and date of purchase. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
If you cancel this contract within 14 days, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
