Is Pinot Noir a light or heavy wine?

Pinot Noir is a generalist not only by its lightness but also because of its medium and light-bodied form. This wine is a very successful representation of the grape, to a very large extent due to the fruity and frank structure that is supported by soft tannin and also relatively low acidity. In this, there is a more subtle approach of a variety of flavours from berry-like aromas to a diamond in the rough finish. While some variations lean towards the full-bodied style, Pinot Noir wines are usually very light in taste, making them easy to drink on any different occasions and matched with different types of foods.
