How does Rosé wine production differ between Old World and New World regions?

Old World countries such as France produce rose wines in a traditional winemaking method that focuses on terroir expression and minimal intervention. Winemakers in New World regions like the United States are more innovative, they try different types of grapes, fermentation methodologies and aging techniques to produce unconventional rosé styles. Both methods produce stupidly good wines but they are very different due to their winemaking philosophies.
