How does Cabernet Sauvignon differ from Cabernet Franc?

Two separate grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc although they are blended together in the Bordeaux-style wines. The classic flavor profile of Cabernet Sauvignon is black fruit flavors, for example, blackcurrant and plum, with firm tannins and a full-bodied structure. However, Cabernet Franc is known to be a variety that produces light-bodied wines, with red fruit flavors such as raspberry or cherry, and herbaceous or vegetal notes like green bell pepper or tobacco leaf. Both grapes bring complexity to the blends, but they exhibit unique attributes.
