Created in 1922 by Edmond Olivier and formally founded as a brand by his daughter Liliane in 1955, the Champagne Veuve Olivier estate now has 21 plots spread over 18 hectares. Pinot Meunier is the main grape grown in the estate, but there are also Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which are also used to make this specific blend.
Today the company, known as "Recoltant-Manipulant", as it grows its own grapes and produces its own wines, is managed by Sandrine Charpentier-Olivier, Edmond's great-granddaughter. Each plot is vinified individually in order to fully express the flavors of each of the terroirs. Reasoned viticulture is practiced throughout the company.
Champagne Veuve Olivier & Fils Secret de Cave Brut is a wine characterized by a bright and luminous yellow color. On the nose, it shows a rich and complex aromatic profile with aromas of stone fruit and spicy dried fruit. In the mouth, it offers a lively and creamy consistency, with fine and persistent bubbles. It is a fleshy and generous Champagne, with a mature character. The finish is long and persistent with delicious notes of honey, undergrowth, and dried fruit. Serve it chilled with white fish dressed with creamy sauces, with roasted chicken or pan-fried foie gras.
