Champagne Jacquesson’s Terres Rouges is a stunning rosé Champagne, characterised by its vivid pink hue, fine, persistent perlage, and incredible freshness. It opens with a pop and an enticing array of red fruits – wild strawberry, raspberry, and red currant – coupled with subtle floral notes of rose petals and hints of orange zest.
Dizy refers to the region of Champagne where the Pinot Noir was harvested, as well as the village where Champagne Jacquesson makes its home. Jacquesson’s fame has steadily grown since its foundation in 1798, which makes it one of the oldest existing Champagne houses – at one point it was even rumoured to be a favourite of Napoleon Bonaparte.
On the palate, this Champagne treads the line between refined and luxurious, displaying perfect harmony between fruit flavours and clean minerality. Notes of fresh red berries mingle on the palate with nuances of brioche, mint, spice, and a touch of tobacco, all supported by a crisp acidity. It showcases an unusual and utterly fascinating side of Champagne and is the quintessential wine for special occasions. It can also be paired with grilled fish, poultry, or a selection of fine cheeses.
