Located in Rovereto, in the heart of the Gavi wine area, Piedmont, the Castellari Bergaglio winery has an ancient winemaking tradition that dates back to 1800. Today, the company, led by Marco Bergaglio in the cellar with the help in the managing role of Claudio Andrea Gemme, produces from its 12 hectares of vineyards, high-quality white wines that are a strong expression of the territory.
Gavi Rolona is made with Cortese grapes sourced from hillside vineyards located in the municipality of Gavi. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature to guarantee the full expression of the aromatic freshness typical of this indigenous grape variety. The wine then rests briefly in the bottle before being released onto the market.
This elegant wine shows a bright straw yellow color. Its aromatic profile is fresh and lively with notes of apple and pear, hints of hay and citrus, and a delicate mineral vein. On the palate, it is tasty and lean, with a strong refreshing acidic vein and a pleasant persistent finish. It can be served on its own for a classy aperitif, but also pairs very well with pasta or fish-based risottos.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
