Why is Moldova known for wine?

Being accompanied by a historical process of winemaking, estimated into thousands of years Moldova has absorbed a loyal wine tradition. The state's gentle continental climate with warm summers and soft winters determined the zone of plerotic growth and grape ripening. In addition to this, Moldovian different landscapes, ranging from rolling hills and river valleys, plains and plateau regions, provide very diverse microclimates and soil types, necessary for growing high grade wine from different types of grapes. Moldovan winemakers both traditional and up-to-the-minute winemaking methods available to produce a wide selection of wines such as fresh crisp white wines to dried red wines and elegant rosés. Although the country is not the most well known wine producer, due to its dedication to excellence and cuttingedge technology, Moldova has effectively represented itself as a significant player on the international wine stage.
