What temperature should Syrah wines be served at?

The temperature of serving Syrah wines is very important if we want to enjoy the taste and smell of these wines completely. The target for serving Syrah is a bit below the room temperature which is approximately 60-65°F (15-18°C). This creates a wine that is able to show all its potential in dark fruits and spices, together with the complex earthy notes, without being overpowered by alcohol or tannins. Syrah is never good when served very cold beyond the masking of complex aromas and flavors while if served very warm, it becomes alcohol accentuated and lacks nuance.
