What are the different sweetness levels in German Rieslings?

Ripeness categories are used in the classification of German Rieslings, with each category representing the sweetness level of the wine. Kabinett wines are generally dry to off-dry, while Spätlese wines are a bit sweet and have a concentrated fruit flavor. Auslese wines are sweeter, sometimes they are intensely fruity, with a honeyed character. Wines called Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese are made from grapes that have been selected one by one, which guarantees that the wine in question is intensely sweet, very luscious and perfect for the dessert courses.
