Is Zinfandel similar to Cabernet Sauvignon?

Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon are two different grape varieties which are unique to each and have different tastes. You usually get wines with a high-alcohol content, spicy notes and bold, jammy fruit flavors (like blackberry, raspberry, and plum) with Zinfandel. In contrast, Cabernet Sauvignon wines are widely recognized for their tannic structure, dark fruit flavors such as blackcurrant and black cherry, and ageing potential which some of them can reveal fantastic complexity after a time. Whereas both are varietal red wines, they, however, offer distinct experiences to the palate, and this adds to the contrast between these two wines.
