Ideally located in the heart of the Verona region, on the hills of Bardolino, the Zeni family winery has been dedicated since 1870 to the cultivation and production of classic Veronese wines. The company covers 60 hectares of owned vineyards and collaborates with other local growers to integrate production. It owns two cellars, one located in Bardolino and the other in Valpolicella, and, since 1991, a wine museum that receives over 100,000 visitors a year.
Zeni Corvar Rosso Veronese is a blend of Corvina Grossa and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes, selected and harvested manually, come from vineyards located on a hilly terrain of morainic origin and a brown-red soil of volcanic origin. After harvesting, the grapes are left to dry slightly and then macerate for 2-3 weeks. The final wine is aged in French oak barriques for 12–18 months.
The wine has a deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections and the nose reveals aromas of ripe berries and flowers with notes of sweet spices. On the palate, it is a warm and powerful wine, velvety and harmonious. The finish is long. This is the perfect wine to pair with game and red meat stews.
