This renowned Australian winery is best known for its Rhone-style reds which begin life in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of the McLaren Vale. The estate is blessed with many plots of traditional bush vines planted right back in 1946 which are used to create elegant, complex wines by Peter Fraser who was named “Australian Winemaker of the Year” in 2016.
Named after the Aboriginal word for ‘from the earth”, the estate strives to work in harmony with nature wherever possible and is certified as both organic and biodynamic. In total the estate has 250 acres of vines planted in 35 blocks interspersed by creeks and nature corridors. This graceful bottling is made from some of the original 1946 vines planted on a single vineyard site set on a sandy dune. Regular cooling sea breezes and well-draining soils help to create perfectly ripe yet balanced fruit with plenty of freshness and aromatics.
Dark cherries and raspberries burst out of the glass along with more subtle hints of cloves, lavender and dark chocolate. The palate offers firm tannins, a well-built structure and a full body complemented by a long finish seasoned with spice and toasted notes from the oak ageing.
Very good reviews and ratings, outstanding delivery speed. But UPS sucks, at least in Hungary, please use another carrier a
