Wild Rock’s Pinot Noir is a bright cherry colour in the glass, with a floral nose of violet, sage, thyme, ripe plum and red cherry. The fruits were sourced from New Zealand’s South Island and the legendary region of Marlborough. The well-drained clayish soils with a foundation of slate offer a tremendous basis for luscious, mineral-rich Pinot Noir.
Wild Rock is a producer of premium New Zealand wine, with plots of land in some of the country’s finest locations: Martinborough, Hawkes Bay, and of course, Marlborough. For the most part, they utilise French grapes in their wines, and take care to find the perfect terroir for each respective variety - in this case, Pinot Noir and Marlborough fit together like a jigsaw piece.
In the mouth, this wine has a velvety, layered texture, with fine tannins and a refreshing blast of acidity. The floral notes from the nose echo onto the palate, but it is dominated by pure fruit flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and red cherry. As with any Pinot Noir worth its salt, you can also discover hints of spicy dried fruit, wild dried herbs and forest floor. This wine is made for immediate enjoyment, but it can age for several years in the cellar. Pair it with a beef stew, game meats with spicy sauces, or a herb-crusted rack of lamb.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
