Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour.

Founded in 1870 by the Eguren family and managed today by Marcus Eguren, the fourth generation of the family, Sierra Cantabria is one of the most important wineries in Spain. The company made up of various cellars and vineyards has its headquarters in Rioja Alta and precisely in the town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. In the province of Paganos, in the Basque Country, Sierra Cantabria produces wines with grapes from its vineyards and sourcing fruit from local producers.

The wine is made from Tempranillo grapes from the 25-hectare Finca El Puntido vineyard, located 600 meters above sea level on clay-calcareous soil, with plants that are around 40 years old. After vinification, the finished wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months.

Vinedos de Paganos El Puntido has an intense color with cherry red tones and some garnet nuances. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant with notes of ripe red fruit and flowers, followed by mineral and chocolate hints. On the palate, it is rich, balanced, and full of character with smooth tannins and a long finish characterized by fruity and woody notes. It is excellent with lasagna Bolognese and lamb chops.
