Set in Chile’s Central Valley, Vina San Pedro was founded in 1865 and is one of the oldest and largest wineries in the country, with a history of producing high-quality wines that showcase the unique terroir of the region. Vina San Pedro is especially committed to sustainability, using environmentally friendly practices wherever possible including minimal water usage and avoiding excessive chemical treatments.
This premium Chilean wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Syrah grapes. It’s named after the treacherous waters around Cape Horn, which are known for their intense winds and currents, a reference to the passionate character of this punchy red.
The grapes for this wine are carefully selected from the best vineyards in the Maipo Valley and Colchagua Valley. They are hand-harvested and undergo a long maceration period to extract the maximum flavor and tannins. The young wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months followed by a further 12 months of bottle aging for additional polish and complexity. Expect bold flavors, rich texture, and an ability to age gracefully for years to come. It is a powerful wine that will pair well with rich, hearty dishes such as grilled meats, stews, and strong cheeses.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
