Located in the municipality of Monticelli Brusati, Lombardy, Villa Franciacorta is a family-run winery spanning approximately 46 hectares of vineyards. Since 1978, the company has focused its production solely on vintage wines, made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate.
Villa Franciacorta's Emozione Brut is made from Chardonnay grapes with additions of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. It is a blend of 26 wines from different parcels of the estate's vineyards and vinified separately. The vines are rooted in predominantly clay and marl soil, rich in minerals and trace elements, which favors the production of wines with good minerality. After manual harvesting and gentle pressing, the first fermentation occurs spontaneously in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the wines' aromatic character. The finished wine then ages on the lees for 36 months.
In the glass, the wine reveals a straw-yellow color enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. Its aromatic profile is broad with lively notes of citrus, fresh fruit, and white flowers, with hints of bread crust. On the palate, it is soft and well-structured, lively and elegant, with refreshing acidity and a silky texture. The finish is long and delicately fruity. It makes an excellent aperitif, and pairs well with seafood and white fish.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
