Les Manyes is the pinnacle of Terroir al Límit’s line of red wines. It is alive with scents of smoke, wet stone and pungent black fruits. The fruits for this grape were harvested from a monastery in the Montsant mountains, a rugged, lonely landscape and a haven for hermits.
Terroir al Límit is a winery that pays strong attention to terroir and its origin, and this is the perfect example of that. It was founded in 2001 by two friends, the German Dominik Huber and the South African Eben Sadie, who met while working on the Perez family’s vineyards at Mas Martinet, in Catalonia. They decided to make this region their home and set up shop in the esteemed appellation of Priorat.
Les Manyes is a taste of the mountainside, brimming with flavours of wild herbs, thick black cherry, strong minerality and smoke. It is made from 100% Garnacha - this time of the “hairy” variety. Garnacha Peluda is an unusual variant of the Garnacha Tinta, sporting fine hair on the underside of its leaves that helps to conserve moisture. This is a wine with excellent structure and acidity, leading to a finish that coats the mouth with a pleasant bitterness. This is a great wine for pairing with desserts, such as tiramisu, or lightly seasoned red meat.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
