Cellar for up to 5 years. Serve well chilled.
Yellow gold in colour, this wine offers a nose of exotic fruit such as pineapple and mango, pear, almonds and a touch of vanilla. The palate follows through with a mix of ripe fruit while the exotic pineapple and pear are present with spice and a buttery note. The acid is pleasant and balanced with an alcohol content of around 12.5%, producing a relatively full bodied wine. The finish is long but very pleasant.
A delight to drink on its own but also a perfect match with Asian cuisine, chicken, pasta, and salad.
As with all Schuster wines, the grapes are cultivated very carefully by hand to ensure only the best and ripest fruit is used. An 8 hour long maceration is followed by a gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs in steel tanks to retain the varietal aspects of the wine.
The Schuster family have been making wine for over 250 years and still have the passion and drive to be innovative in their approach to making great wines. With this family tradition comes a wealth of knowledge, intuition and desire that has been passed down from generation to generation. Looking at environmentally friendly ways to grow grapes that will result in fabulous wines, means that the flora and fauna of the estate is treated with the utmost respect. Vines are cultivated as gently as possible which is the first stage of producing exceptional wine. Hand harvesting and sorting of the grapes ensures that only the best grapes are used and that the vines are protected from machine harvesting.
