The Georgian winery Rtvelisi is located in the Kakheti region, not far from its capital, Telavi, and owns approximately 250 hectares of vineyards planted with indigenous grape varieties. The company produces a wide range of award-winning local wines, widely praised by both the public and critics.
Tsolikouri grapes come from vineyards located in the Tvishi appellation in the Racha-Lechkhumi wine-growing region, on the Lechkhumi plateau in western Georgia. Here, the vines are distributed on steep terraces along the Rioni River valley, at altitudes between 400 and 600 meters above sea level. The climate is humid subtropical, but influenced by the proximity of the mountains, with cool nights and good ventilation. The soils are sandy clay with limestone and shale. These conditions favor slow and uniform ripening, resulting in fresh and balanced wines.
In the glass, Rtvelisi Tvishi reveals a golden straw yellow color with greenish highlights. Its aromatic profile is fragrant and delicate, with notes of pear, peach, and quince, interspersed with floral scents and a hint of honey. On the palate, it is elegant and graceful, with a pleasant sweetness well-balanced by lively acidity. It is fresh, lean, and lively, with a long, fruity finish that evokes sweet tropical notes. Enjoy it with lightly spiced Asian dishes such as Pad Thai, as well as Middle Eastern salads and vegetarian recipes.
