Founded in 1958, Produttori del Barbaresco is a historic cooperative winery that today has over 100 hectares of vineyards and 50 families of winemakers.
Barbaresco Riserva “Pajé” is an elegant and structured red wine obtained from Nebbiolo grapes selected and hand-picked from the Pajé cru. The vineyard, located at about 250 meters above sea level among the magnificent hills of Barbaresco, in Piedmont, enjoys a west, south-west exposure and clay-limestone soils with a sandy bottom. After fermentation in steel and a period of maceration on the skins, the wine rests for 36 months in large oak barrels, followed by another 6 months in the bottle.
In the glass, the wine shows an intense and clear color with ruby red tones. Its aromatic profile is inebriating and complex. It opens with aromas of berries and cherry, followed by floral notes of violet and rose, and closes with spicy and balsamic hints. On the palate it reveals all its character: it is powerful and stylish, concentrated and elegant. It has a medium body and strong but well-integrated tannins. The finish is long, spicy and persistent. Despite its incredible ability to age and evolve, it is ready to drink immediately, accompanied by duck breast, risotto with truffle or wild boar stew.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
