A family business, Pegasus Bay was founded in the 70s by the Donaldson family's commitment. Convinced that the road to quality passes through the minimum contribution of substances in grapes and wines, the owners have embarked on the path of sustainability both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Operating on the South Island of New Zealand, it can be considered one of the pioneering wineries of the whole nation in the search for a compromise between innovation and respect for the environment.

The Riesling grapes come from the area of North Canterbury where the strong temperature range between day and night and the long autumns create the ideal conditions for this variety. The grapes are harvested late with a share of noble botrytis, and the must is fermented at a controlled temperature to help the wine express the unique characters of the region.

The wine has an intense yellow color. The nose is an explosive mix of peaches, apricots, lychees, honeysuckle, and mandarin. In the mouth, it is full and mineral, with a rich acidity and a dry finish that provides excellent balance. This is a distinctive yet very subtle wine.

Try it with seafood and shellfish, but its best companion will be Asian food.
