Founded in the early 1900s by Silvestro Pasetti in Francavilla on Italy’s Adriatic coast, the Pasetti estate initially focused on growing grapes which were then sold on to be vinified and bottled. Silvestro’s grandson, Franco, took the decision to start bottling his family’s own wines, and in more recent years the Pasettis have expanded their winery by purchasing top quality vineyards below the Gran Sasso massif in the Apennines.

Their Testarossa wines are the flagship bottlings of the winery and are named after the ginger-haired women of the family who have played such a key role in the history of the Pasetti winery. This stunning white is crafted from Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Pecorino grapes grown at 450 metres of altitude at the foot of Gran Sasso and the Monti della Laga mountains.

Conditions here are ideal for producing excellent white wines thanks to the strong winds and cool nights which help preserve freshness and a concentrated flavour profile in the grapes. In the winery the must is fermented in oak barrels where it is matured for 12 months before bottling. This creates a rich, full-bodied white wine with a creamy texture and ample buttery, vanilla and tropical fruit flavours.
