This is one of the southernmost Chardonnay’s in the world, harvested from parcel 22 of Otronia’s estate in the frontiers of Argentina. It is packed with aromas of peach, green apple, pear, and aromatic white flowers, such as jasmine, lily, and chamomile. It is notably fresh on the nose, reflected by the hues of green that appear as you pour it into a glass.
Otronia estate is situated on parallel 45’33, in the heart of Patagonia. Its stunning range of wines are the creative output of Mendoza native Juan Pablo Murgia, a talented oenologist with more than one trophy to his name. In 2021, he was chosen by Tim Atkin, in his Argentina Special Report, as Young Winemaker of the Year. A year later, he was selected as Winemaker of the Year by Patricio Tapia of Descorchados.
The Otronia Chardonnay is stunningly fresh and complex on the palate. The cold, high-altitude climate of Patagonia imparts a tense vein of acidity, elevating the fruity palate of lemon zest, white peach, apple, and pear. As it lingers in the mouth, you can also find notes of green herbs, dried thyme, and chamomile tea. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 to 20 months before bottling. Consider pairing it with roast poultry, creamy pasta, or soft, pungent cheese.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
