Meaning “left-hander” in Australian slang, Mollydooker is one of the nation’s most celebrated wineries thanks to their passion and commitment to excellence. Set in the heart of the McLaren Vale on Seaview Ridge, the Mediterranean climate and top quality soils make this a superb place for producing full-bodied and complex reds. Their wines regularly win accolades and praise from international wine critics; in total Mollydooker has featured eight times on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list.

The Boxer is crafted from prime estate vineyards in the McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. The grapes are barrel fermented and the young wine is then matured in 100% American oak to add complexity and to soften the robust structure and tannins. The result is a richly layered wine with a generous full body, firm tannins, punchy dark fruit flavours and a very long finish with hints of black pepper and sweet spice.

Sure to please lovers of big, bold reds, this hearty Shiraz is great for serving alongside red meat dishes like steak, beef stews or roasted game. It also makes a great addition to any collector’s cellar and will continue to develop over the next decade or so.
