Located in the Mendoza wine region of Argentina, Mendel Wines was founded by Anabelle Sielecki in collaboration with renowned winemaker Roberto de la Mota to revitalize and preserve the family estate's ancient vineyards. In addition to Malbec, the winery also grows, among others, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sémillon, and Petit Verdot.
The Malbec grapes, from the Luján and Altamira varieties, are carefully selected and hand-harvested from the nearly century-old Mayor Drummond vineyard, situated 980 meters above sea level in Luján de Cuyo. After harvest, fermentation occurs in vats, followed by a three-week maceration period. Half of the finished wine ages in stainless steel and the other half in used oak barrels for one year.
The result is a fresh, dry wine with an intense ruby color. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant, with predominant notes of raspberry, blackberry, and plum, followed by floral hints of violet and some lightly spicy touches. On the palate, the Mendel Lunta Malbec is delicate and fruity. It has a medium body and soft, well-integrated tannins. It is lively and juicy, with a vibrant and balanced acidity. The finish is long and velvety. It's a food-friendly wine that pairs well with grilled meats and pasta dishes with meat sauce.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
