Located in Argentina, in the heart of the prestigious Mendoza wine region, Mendel Estate was founded by Anabelle Sielecki, with the help of renowned Argentine winemaker Roberto de la Mota. The winery, named after Annabelle's father, owns high-altitude vineyards in the Luján de Cuyo area.
Finca Remota is a single-varietal red made from Malbec grapes from a plot on the Faraway Ranch, located approximately 1,100 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley. Here, the ungrafted vines, over 60 years old, thrive on sandy and calcareous soils, on a subsoil of massive limestone blocks, and in exceptional climatic conditions that guarantee the production of a powerful and aromatic wine. After harvesting and fermenting in tanks, the finished wine rests in new French oak barrels.
In the glass, the wine reveals a deep, dark color with purple highlights. Its aromatic profile opens with intense notes of red and black fruit, interspersed with hints of violet on a spicy undertone. On the palate, it is concentrated and well-structured, complex and fruity, with firm yet smooth tannins. It is a balanced wine with perfectly integrated oak notes and a long, persistent finish. Try it with grilled duck breast or a succulent steak.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
