Maugeri is a young, family-run Sicilian winery located on the slopes of Mount Etna. The estate's vineyards extend across approximately 7 hectares of terraced land enclosed by dry stone walls, where production focuses on white wines (with the exception of one rosé).

Maugeri Superiore Contrada Volpare Etna Bianco is an elegant white wine made from Carricante grapes grown on terraced vineyards 700 meters above sea level on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, in Contrada Volpare, in the municipality of Milo, the only Etna wine district producing Superiore Bianco. After manual harvesting and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place primarily in stainless steel tanks, with 10% in French oak barrels. The wine ages on the lees for 8 months.

In the glass, the wine reveals an intense straw yellow color with delicate golden highlights and a broad and elegant aromatic profile, with aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus, and broom over a background of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it has a volcanic character with a well-defined, mineral note and refreshing acidity. It is crisp and lean with a long finish that recalls notes of cedar. It is excellent with fish carpaccio and spaghetti with clams.
