Considered the most important and prestigious winery in Traisental, Austria, Markus Huber was founded in 2000, when Markus acquired the family vineyards, to produce quality wines that are an expression of the terroir of this young wine region.
The organically grown grapes of Gruner Veltliner, the most representative variety of the Austrian wine scene, are selected from the Alte Setzen vineyard, which is over 60 years old. Fermentation takes place in concrete eggs for about 3 months and the finished wine then rests on the lees for 9 months before being bottled without filtration and released to the market.
Metamorphosis is a versatile and vibrant wine with a bright yellow-green color. On the nose, it reveals a broad and complex aromatic profile with fruity notes of white apple and lime, floral hints of hibiscus and lime, and then herbaceous and spicy nuances. On the palate, it has a robust body and an invigorating and vibrant acidic vein. It is fruity and vaguely savory with a long and delicately spicy finish. It is the ideal wine with asparagus and artichokes, and it goes well with spicy Asian cuisine.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
