This is an electric New Zealand Pinot Noir, exhibiting layers of dark fruit, purple flowers, mushrooms, and earthy forest floor. It shows a beautiful purple colour in the glass. The fruits were harvested from Central Otago, and more specifically, the organic “Someone’s Darling” vineyard on Bendigo Loop Road.
This winery is the result of a union between two New World wine enthusiasts. Husband and wife duo Erica and Kim Crawford met while working at Backsberg Estate in South Africa, before moving back to Kim’s native New Zealand. Across nine years of winemaking, they built their first label, before selling it to an international alcohol company. Loveblock represents their passion for winemaking, a craft that they could not stay away from for long.
The Loveblock Pinot Noir is medium-bodied and fleshy in the mouth, with harmonious flavours of plum, sour cherry, and sweet cranberry jam. Hints of violet and earth appear in the background, with oaky tannins sifting through the veil of fruit. The entire drinking experience is elevated by a vivacious acidity. Consider pairing this wine with mushroom and pea risotto, roast turkey, or soft cheese.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
