In 2017, after almost four decades at Domaine Ponsot, Lauren Ponsot began a new endeavour under his own name and with the help of his son, Clémente. While neither a domaine nor an estate in the traditional sense, this new brand aims to create cutting-edge, fashionable wines, bringing the concept of “Haute Couture'' to the world of wine.

Laurent Ponsot owns 7 hectares of vineyards in Meursault, but he also employs an old-fashioned way of sourcing grapes. By filling the role of a “négociant”, Laurent pays his due to Burgundian tradition and leaves the grape growing to those who know it best. “Cuvée de Pandorea” is sourced from 6 different suppliers across Meursault, resulting in a perfectly rounded wine that is a fantastic representation of the region.

A delicate bouquet of floral and citrus notes greets you from the moment you uncork this bottle, with some hints of ripe peach and hazelnut. It strikes a great balance between volume and precision - it is undeniably round in the mouth, but also exhibits a fine, driving acidity. Look for subtle flavours of lemon rind and peach on the palate, supported by clean minerality and a notable oakiness. There are hints of honey on the long finish.“Cuvée de Pandorea” will match beautifully with creamy cheeses or chicken dishes.
