Located 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the Idahue Estate spans over 500 acres in the Licanten wine region and is owned by La Ronciere winery. Here, the prevailing coastal breezes, the abundant sunshine, and the rolling hills of ancient soils create an advanced climatic and geological landscape, particularly favorable to the cultivation of vines. The potential of the Licanten region is just unfolding, but the wines already show the extraordinary character of these places, revealing great concentration and finesse.

The wine is composed of a majority of Malbec grapes with small additions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, selected and harvested by hand from the Idahue vineyard. After a week's fermentation and a subsequent 30-day maceration, the wine is aged in French oak for 10 months.

This Malbec is a sensual and full-bodied wine, characterized by extraordinary elegance and refinement. The nose reveals intense aromas of black pepper, cherry, blackberry, prune, and cocoa. In the mouth, it does not attack the palate, despite being a rich and robust wine. Its tannins are soft and juicy, and the finish is long and persistent. This is the perfect BBQ wine.
