Château Grenouilles is a gorgeous light gold in the glass, with a strong floral nose of acacia, jasmine, apple, citrus fruits, and stiff sea air. Its mineral side grows in intensity as it aerates, revealing classic Chablis notes. The Chardonnay grapes were plucked from just outside the village of Chablis, from the upper section of the Grenouilles Grand Cru vineyard.
La Chablisienne is a cooperative winery, founded by Abbé Balitrand and a league of Burgundy winegrowers in 1923. For the last 100 years, the winery has played an essential part in forming the Chablis style, particularly since the 1950s, when the winery began to ferment the grapes’ juice, or must, itself, rather than the growers. Grenouilles is one of the finest vineyards in Chablis, growing on soils of limestone and marl.
Château Grenouilles exhibits a remarkably full body for a white wine. As a Grand Cru Chablis, it can age in a cellar for 10 years, or slightly more. On the palate, look for yellow fruits, citrus, clean minerality, and riper notes of caramel and dried fruit. These evolve into hints of spice and coffee on the finish. It is a complex, layered drink, perfect for lovers of sophisticated whites. The fruits spent 20 months ageing in tanks and barrels before release. Consider pairing it with foie gras, light seafood, or salmon.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
