After studying agriculture and viticulture, and experience as an oenologist in some historic wineries in Greece, Vangelis Gerovassiliou returned to the family vineyards in 1981, renovating them and replanting Greek and international vines. Today the property, which extends over 48 hectares, includes the production of native vines such as Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Limnio, Mavroudi, Mavrotragano, and some international grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Syrah, Grenache, and Merlot.
Ktima Gerovassiliou White is an innovative blend of two indigenous grape varieties, Malagousia and Assyrtiko. After the harvest, the grapes are left to macerate with the skin, at low temperatures, for a few hours. Then follows the alcoholic fermentation which takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
In the glass, the wine has a beautiful yellow color with greenish hues. The nose is fragrant with aromas of exotic and citrus fruit, notes of green pepper, and delicate floral scents. On the palate, the wine shows all its elegant character. It is round, lively, and with a pleasant and refreshing finish that recalls lemon notes. Serve it chilled at 8-10°C and enjoy it in its youth. Try it with traditional Greek seafood dishes, and in general with fish and shellfish, summer salads, and vegetarian tarts. It also makes an excellent aperitif.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
