Founded by Steve Kistler in 1978, Kistler Vineyards is a family business located in Northern California. This is a relatively small producer that has been known since the 1980s for its robust, buttery Chardonnays that undergo malolactic fermentation and are aged in small new oak barrels. The winery focuses on Burgundy varietals and produces 11 Chardonnays and 4 Pinot Noirs. The grapes are selected from three AVAs within Sonoma County: Sonoma Coast, Sonoma Mountain, and Carneros.
Kistler's Les Noisetiers is a Chardonnay wine with a very strong regional character that denotes the typical mineral tones deriving from the sandy soils of Gold Ridge. The grapes come from the Vine Hill Vineyard, Dutton Ranch, and Trenton Roadhouse vineyards.
The result is a wine with intense and brilliant color. On the nose, it reveals a large concentration of stone and citrus fruits and notes of white flowers. It is a vibrant and juicy wine with a marked mineral vein. On the palate, it is loaded with fresh fruit: pineapple, peach, apricot, and pear. Fresh and full-bodied, it makes a perfect aperitif but also goes very well with lobster, prawns, and stuffed chicken breast.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
