Considered one of Burgundy's historic estates, Maison Jaffelin, now part of the Boisset group, is located in the historic center of Beaune in the heart of French Burgundy. The company, founded in 1816, produces a wide range of white and red wines under the guidance of winemaker Marinette Garnier.

The Chardonnay grapes come from a plot surrounded by forest and located southwest of the village of Rully, above the famous Les Pucelles 1er Cru in the Côte Chalonnaise. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels (80% used) for a period of aging on the lees, but without batonnage to preserve the wine's freshness.

The result is an expressive and lively wine with a clear, brilliant color with golden tones and greenish highlights. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant, with notes of tropical fruit, yellow apple, and banana, and floral hints on a light vanilla background. On the palate, it is fruit-forward, smooth, and linear, with a fresh, well-balanced acidity and a pronounced minerality. The finish is long and pleasantly fruity. It is a youthful and food-friendly wine that pairs well with fish, white meat, cheeses, and many vegetarian recipes.
