While Hubert Meyer only became a winery in 1976, the Meyer family has a history of grape-growing that dates back 10 generations. Founder Hubert has passed the torch to his son Pierre, who uses his deep knowledge of the region to produce an incredible selection of wines, both sparkling and still. If one thing is evident in the Meyer family’s wines, it's that they know the terroir of Blienschwiller in Alsace better than anybody else.
For their sparkling wines, Hubert Meyer winery uses Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, a pair of cool climate varietals that thrive in the mountainous region of Alsace. This Rosé Cremant is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, in the classic Champagne style. The wine spends 18 months ageing on grape sediment before being bottled, imparting a wonderfully round texture.
This wine is an appealing bright pink, with a generous bouquet. You’ll discover scents of strawberry, rose petals, and plenty of mouth-watering sour fruits - green apple, lemon zest and red berries are all present. It’s pleasantly dry in the mouth, with flavours of red fleshy fruit, honey and citrus. There is also a delightful yeasty hint, which calls brioche and sourdough bread to mind. This is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a versatile and food-friendly wine. Try pairing it with ice cream, fruit tarts, or even fried chicken.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
