Founded by Pedro Rodriguez’s family in the Galician Ribeira Sacra area, Guímaro produces some of Spain's most exciting wines from old vines of local varieties planted on steep slopes overlooking the Sil River. Here, the altitude and cool nighttime climate create optimal conditions for producing wines with great freshness and good aromatic character. The company, in which Raúl Pérez has also collaborated since 2001, owns around 10 hectares of vineyards.
Guimaro Blanco is a blend of Godello, Treixadura, Albariño, Torrontés and Loureira. The grapes come from different vineyards located between 300 and 500 meters above sea level in the Sil basin, on clay, sandy, slate, and granite soils. After manual harvesting and a short period of cold maceration and fermentation, the finished wine rests on its lees for 7 months.
The wine reveals a pale straw yellow color and a broad and youthful aromatic profile with notes of ripe yellow fruit and balsamic hints, chamomile, and Mediterranean herbs such as sage and laurel. On the palate, it is expressive and complex, fresh and balanced with a nice long and refreshing finish that recalls balsamic notes. It is excellent as an aperitif but also pairs well with seafood and salads.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
