Established in 1903 by Georgios Argyros, with a vineyard of only 5 hectares located in Santorini, Estate Argyros initially produced wines for the local market. It was Georgios' grandson, Yiannis Argyros, at the helm of the winery since 1974, who revolutionized the winery's image by expanding the vineyard area to the current 65 hectares, and combining family traditions with modern technology to ensure high quality of the grapes.

The Assyrtiko grapes come from the 70-year-old vineyards of Pyrgos and Imerovigli, on the island of Santorini planted on terraces called "pezoules" along the slope of the steep ice hills overlooking the sea. Positioned at an altitude of about 450m / above sea level, the grapes benefit during the day from an average temperature lower than the rest of the island, the fresh and mild winds called "meltelia" and from the sea mist that forms during the night due to evaporation. of seawater during hot days.

In the glass, the wine has a straw yellow color with light golden hues. It smells of delicate white flowers and fresh citrus fruits. On the palate, it opens up with citrusy notes, and shows a well-pronounced acidity and a vibrant minerality. It is a fresh and lively wine, with a full and well-balanced body, and a prolonged aftertaste. Have it as aperitif or with seafood.
