Domaine Tollot-Beaut is a family business located in Chorey-les-Beaune with an old tradition. Currently, the estate, which extends over 24ha from Chorey-les-Beaune to Corton, is managed by the 3 cousins Nathalie, Jean-Paul, and Olivier, the fourth generation of the family. The estate produces wines of excellent quality from different appellations such as Corton-Charlemagne, Corton Bressandes, Beaune 1er Cru "Clos du Roi" and Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru "Les Vercots".

The Pinot Noir grapes come from the premier cru Clos du Roi vineyard whose name refers to King Louis XI, who acquired the land upon the death of Charles the Bold (last Duke of Burgundy). The vineyard is located on calcareous soils in the northern part of the Beaune amphitheater, where the wines tend to be fresher and more refined than in the southern part. The wine is aged in 228-liter barrels (50% new).

The Beaune Premier Cru Clos de Roi has a bright ruby color. Its aromatic profile is fresh and expressive with aromas of red fruit and aromatic herbs, mineral notes, and some nuances of sweet spices resulting from the aging in new oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky, soft and round. The finish is persistent with a good concentration of fruit and delicious mineral notes. It is an expressive and refined wine that goes beautifully with lamb but can also complement roasted fish dishes.
