“Les Clos” has often been referred to as the king of Chablis’ Grand Cru vineyards. This expression of the famous site, from Domaine Servin, proves the nickname. It is bursting with scents of tart stone fruits, citrus rind, spice and minerality. It’s both powerful and taut, worthy of keeping in your cellar for a decade or more.

Domaine Servin has been a part of the Chablis landscape for a very long time - while they may not have always been winemakers, the monks of Saint Martin referred to members of the Servin family as “vineyard owners” since the 16th century. Today, the winery pays its dues to tradition, while also incorporating modern technology for the highest quality of wine possible.

This Grand Cru Chablis exhibits a velvety, full-bodied palate, with complex flavours of peach, nectarine, apple, and a generous helping of wet stone minerality. The soils in “Les Clos” are rich in limestone and clay. With sharp acidity, it maintains a certain edge, despite the silky, round mouthfeel. If you’re a fan of Chardonnay, Chablis is the logical conclusion. This wine will be perfect for pairing with shellfish, soft cheese, or fish in a white sauce.
