Domaine Patrick Javillier is a prestigious family-run Burgundy winery founded in 1945 by Raymond Javillier in Meursault and taken over by his son Patrick in the 1970s. Over time, the estate has expanded, and today the vineyards cover approximately 11 hectares. The winery is managed by Patrick's daughter, Marion, and her brother-in-law, Pierre-Emmanuel.
The Chardonnay grapes come from six parcels located along the Meursault hillside, near the forest, in the "Les Tillets" estate, an area named after the linden tree that grows nearby. The vines, between 30 and 70 years old, enjoy a south/southeast exposure and are rooted in clay soil, on layers of hard and brown limestone. After vinification, the wine ages in oak barrels for 10 months.
Meursault Les Tillets is an expressive and elegant wine with a fragrant and fresh aromatic profile that reveals notes of white and yellow fruit, followed by floral aromas and delicate spicy touches. On the palate, it is round, savory, and lively with a distinctive minerality and vibrant acidity. It has a medium body and a long, smooth finish that evokes saline notes. It's a food-friendly wine: it pairs well with grilled fish, seafood risotto, and poultry.

Unbelievably fast and efficient service! I would like to receive emails from them on their selection of collectible bottles and any updates they make to this offering. Especially if they are getting allocations of wines that are more difficult to source (such as the Tolpuddle).
