Artus is a layered, complete wine, balancing aromas of butterscotch, incisive citrus fruits, minerality and ripe nectarine. It is crafted from 100% Chardonnay - more specifically, a clone known as “Gingin”, harvested from the colder, southern end of Margaret River in Western Australia.
Domaine Naturaliste is the personal project of Bruce Dukes, an esteemed wine-maker with an encyclopedic knowledge of Western Australian terroir. Before Domaine Naturaliste, he spent four years working at Francis Ford Coppola’s winery in California, and three decades working in Margaret River’s finest wineries. His vineyards are located in the village of Wilyabrup, on gravelly soils just 7km from the Indian Ocean.
On the palate, you are immediately met with a bold, full body, where sharp notes of grapefruit and lime balance out a rich, nutty texture. The fruits were aged in small barrels of French oak. This is a wine with endless layers, elevated by a tightrope of acidic tension. Hints of minerality, brioche, white-fleshed stone fruit and gunsmoke hover in the background. The finish is long and moreish. It is a truly excellent expression of Western Australian Chardonnay. Consider drinking Artus alongside delicate seafood, risotto or creamy pasta sauces.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
