Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint Aubin Premier Cru En Remilly 2022

Founded in 1973 in Saint Aubin, the Hubert Lamy winery owns approximately 18.5 hectares of vineyards spread across 18 appellations (including the prestigious Grand Cru Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet). The company has a long winemaking tradition. The Lamy family has been involved in viticulture since the 17th century, but it was Hubert Lamy who founded the winery and then passed it on to his son, Olivier, who manages it today. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming (not certified), with complete respect for nature and the terroir.

The Premier Cru En Rémilly remained virtually abandoned until the 1980s, when Hubert Lamy decided to plant Chardonnay and lease part of the land. The calcareous, stony soils, facing south, immediately proved ideal for this grape variety, which expresses itself elegantly here. After fermentation, the wine ages in oak barrels before bottling.

In the glass, the wine reveals a broad and expressive aromatic profile with notes of yellow fruit and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is rich, smooth, and fruity. It has a lively, refreshing acidity and a mineral touch that lingers on a long, delicate finish. It's an elegant wine that can age for several years, but it can also be enjoyed now, paired with sole meunière, seafood, and veal ossobuco.
