Pure notes of citrus fruit, white flowers, stone fruit and chalky minerality waft from the nose of this dry white wine. It is an oak-aged Sauvignon Blanc, influenced by the elegant French style, but shaped by the New Zealand climate. The fruits were sourced from Wairau Valley in Marlborough - New Zealand’s premier wine-making region.
Dog Point is a young winery, but has already become the largest organic-certified winery in New Zealand. It is family-owned, being founded by Marlborough wine pioneers Ivan and Margaret Sutherland. While working at the nearby Cloudy Bay Winery, Ivan met esteemed winemaker James Healey, who has been involved with the business since the very start. They chose Marlborough because it’s the place they know the best, and home to the sunniest and driest climate in the country - perfect for the production of crisp white wine.
The Section 94 Sauvignon Blanc is a creamy, full-bodied wine, with strong notes of tropical fruits, fragrant herbs and minerality. The wood influence is prominent, after 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels, but the wine retains a delightfully fresh character. It is a thirst-quenching wine, with a long finish. Drink it in its youth, alongside white fish, herb-loaded sauces, or chicken.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
