Bursting with passionfruit, zesty lime, grapefruit and guava, this bright and breezy Sauvignon Blanc shows off the winemaking skill of Craggy Range which is today recognised as one of New Zealand’s top small producers. Founded in the 1990s by Australian businessman Terry Peabody and Master of Wine Steve Smith, Craggy Range was one of the early pioneers in the Gimblett Gravels region and have built a reputation for excellence with their distinctive single vineyard estate-grown wines.

This vibrant Sauvignon is made from selected estate parcels in Marlborough and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal purity and natural aromatics from the fruit. The region’s long summer growing season is tempered by cooling breezes which blow inland at night, helping the grapes to ripen fully without losing freshness and their intense fruity flavours. The vineyards also benefit from ancient stony soils which are well-draining and often add a touch of minerality to the wine.

On the nose there is an abundance of tropical fruit and citrus, while the first sip reveals a mouthwatering freshness paired with a light body, stony minerality, and crisp, clean finish. The elegant flavour profile makes it a great match for seafood, grilled fish and leafy summer salads as well as cheeses and charcuterie.
