This is a striking Chardonnay with bright, straw-yellow colour and hues of green. On the nose, it opens up with lively aromas of flowers and white-fleshed fruits, with white flowers, pineapple, and banana taking centre stage against a backdrop of citrus. Chateau Julia was crafted without oak ageing, allowing the sunny character of the region to shine through.
Domaine Costa Lazaridi was founded in 1979, when its eponymous owner founded the first modern vineyard in Drama, Greece. It is known for its pioneering attitude towards Greek winemaking, and its emblematic wines, often made from native grapes. Since 2001, the winery has been aided by the renowned wine consultant, Florent Dumeau.
On the palate, the Chateau Julia Chardonnay is refreshing and pure, with a well-balanced acidity. It offers a fruity mouthfeel with flavours of ripe pear, green apple, and tropical fruits, complemented by palate-cleansing hints of minerals. The finish is persistent, leaving a lasting impression. Before release, the wine was fermented in stainless steel and matured on the lees for several months. Consider pairing it with chicken in a white sauce, Greek cheeses, or seafood.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
