The wine areas of the Greek winery Domaine Costa Lazaridi extend across the landscapes of the Drama wine area, in which the company, with the help of the flying oenologist Michel Rolland produces excellent white, red and rosé wines from native and international grapes.
Widely regarded as one of Greece's finest red wines, Amethystos Cava was first produced in 1991. Cabernet Franc grapes are selected from old vines, planted on rocky clay soils. The finished wine ages for 18 months in new French oak barrels and approximately the same amount of time in the bottle before being put on the market.
This Cabernet Franc has a dark and deep red color. The nose reveals a complex profile made of notes of violets, currants, and plum jam, followed by aromas of mint, cedar, and toasted bread. On the palate, it is a powerful and decisive wine but also very balanced. The tannins are firm but not gripping and harmonized by an intense concentration of fruit. It is a solid wine that shows excellent aging potential. Try it with sirloin, roast lamb, goat cheese, and also with some Indian recipes like curry.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
