Corte Aura is a leading producer of Franciacorta in Italy’s Lombardy region. Having been producing wine for more than a decade, Corte Aura follows a core ideology of taking things slow. Practicing a minimum of 30 months on the lees, the sparkling wines of Corte Aura show precision, development, and ageability. The symbol of the winery is intentionally the turtle. Founded by Federico Fossati in 2009, the annual bottle production is over 100,000. All grapes utilized in the production of Corte Aura’s sparklings are sourced from several vineyards within the municipalities of Franciacorta.

The Franciacorta Rose is a celebratory sparkling perfect for toasting to life’s occasions, big or small. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, this sparkling is low dosage and spends at least 40 months on the lees to add finesse and body. The nose welcomes a charming bouquet of wild red fruits like freshly picked raspberry, ripe strawberry and light skinned cherries. A citrusy grapefruit pops out with restrained meyer lemon that is finished with a toasty note of nuts and brioche. The palate carries the fruit components and demonstrates an elegant balance of high acidity and a rounded, creamy mouthfeel accented by plush bubbles. As with many of the Corte Aura Franciacorta, this wine can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or with a variety of dishes including fish, poultry, salads, red sauce pastas, and pizza.
